i thought this was so ridiculous i wrote to the editor of the hackney gazette.
me: "i imagine that "cute kids 2007" is an event where adults vote on children and how cute they are.
child abuse is also in many cases something that involves adults looking at cute kids."
editor: "If you actually bothered to read the story you would see that the story was about female circumcision. The term "abuse" does not always mean of a sexual nature."
he didn't seem to get it at all...
